I am a winter person, I love wearing layers of clothes and cuddling in blanket with a hot cup of coffee.
So obviously, I am not a fan of summer's the heat makes me crazy, and I never understood why we have holidays in summer. You can't go anywhere in the scorching heat. You get a tan, a sun stroke, dehydration and so much more. If you stay indoors you are bored out of your mind.
Still everyone has "Plans" for summer holidays, they have reservations and itineraries and I have no choice but to tag along. On this trips, I am drowsy, tired all the time and can't really enjoy myself while I am drenched in my own sweat.

Recently, I went on a weekend trip with my family and it was fun to spend some much needed time with them, but I don't know why it didn't feel like vacation to me. For me vacations are supposed to be relaxing, they are about having a cozy room with a large window that has a mesmerizing scenery, a book in hand, or surrounded by people I can talk to for hours.
But nobody lets me plan the holidays, probably they think I will just lock everyone in their own rooms the whole stay. But shouldn't that be exciting. Sure you are supposed to explore the place that you visit but in the blazing sun you can't even step out without having a mild headache. Unless you are visiting places that are cold enough to roam around, I guess the perfect time to travel is spring. Not too cold but not too hot as well. You can wear your dresses and roaming around happily, dancing, singing and enjoying.
I dream about this kind of vacations and get-aways so much but I have never gotten a chance to actually go on such a trip. One day for sure I will and maybe then I would actually write about my experience rather than sit in my room and complain about the sun.
